Congratulations! You have been sent this page because we think you are one of the rare top 1% talents that could join us to solve incredibly hard technical problems together. We are excited to explore working with you and see what we can build together during your work trial. Please read this page thoroughly! It ****contains all information you need to get set up, understand how we work, and hit the ground running.
Reading material
Some context to understand what we are building and why:
- Our thesis · ~10-minute read. Our vision and the thinking behind Worldset. You should definitely read this before coming here.
- Lab robotics: basic concepts and heuristics · ~30-minute read. An overview of the fundamentals of lab automation. Worth at least reading a summary of it.
- The future of data markets · Under 10 minutes. A post on where data markets are heading.
- Lab Automation Wiki · Reference material from industry friends. You do not need to read it before coming here, but it is a great resource later for understanding specific challenges in more detail.
Team
We grew from two to 12+ people involved in this project within the past few weeks. We usually have 1-3 work trials per week with lots of new people coming in. Look at this page to see who you will be working with:

Tools & setup
Google Workspace: your company account
We use Google Workspace for email, calendars, Drive, and the rest of our Google tools. Use “Log in with Google” with your company account wherever possible.
Mercury: your company card & invoices
Everyone gets their own company credit card through Mercury.
- In Mercury settings, link your company Gmail account so Mercury can automatically import invoices from your email.
- Make sure invoices for your purchases are uploaded to Mercury. This is essential for accounting, and you are responsible for keeping it up to date without reminders or someone chasing you.
- Forwarding an invoice to [email protected] adds physical items to inventory; making sure the invoice is in Mercury is a separate accounting responsibility.
